FAQs
Can I use my own domain with Tripcart?
Absolutely. You can use your own domain for your website. Your site can appear as yourcompany.com instead of yourcompany.ontripcart.com.
This will help your brand look more professional, build trust with visitors, and stay memorable. Connecting your domain is simple. We provide step-by-step instructions if you need any help.
Does Tripcart charge commissions or booking fees?
No. Tripcart does not charge any platform booking fees, commission fees, or any other hidden fees. You keep 100% of your bookings. The only payment is a subscription fee that you can pay monthly or annually.
What is a Traveler Fee?
A Traveler Fee is an extra charge you can add to the total price of your tours. Please don’t confuse it with any commission or extra fees.
It is entirely optional, and you keep 100% of it. You can use the Traveler fees to cover the 1.5 to 3% payment gateway fees or tax amounts. This helps add to your revenue without losing money to processing costs.
You can also use Traveler fees to cover expenses for services and handling, local taxes, third-party costs, convenience fees, and more. It’s an easy way to protect your earnings without raising your main tour price.

We are always looking to add new and popular payment gateways to Tripcart. Please fill out the payment gateway request form, and we will get back to you.
How do I receive payments for my bookings?
You will need to connect your payment gateway account to Tripcart to receive payments for your bookings.
From your Tripcart dashboard, go to Payment Gateway settings, select a payment gateway from the list (such as PayPal, Stripe, or Revolut), enter your credentials, and your account is linked. Once connected, all tour payments go directly into your payment gateway account.
Tripcart doesn’t collect, hold, or route any payments. We don’t take a cut, commissions, or charge any hidden fees at all. What customers pay is what you receive.
What are your credit card fees?
Tripcart does not charge any credit card fees or transaction fees. However, the payment gateway you choose to connect to your website (such as PayPal, Stripe, or Revolut) may charge its own processing fees.
These typically range from 1.5% to 3.5% of the total price, depending on the provider and your location. These fees are charged by the payment gateway, not Tripcart.
Is there a limit to the number of tours I can create with Tripcart?
Not at all! With every Tripcart plan, you can create an unlimited number of tour experiences.
You have the freedom to offer as many unique travel experiences as you want. This gives you complete flexibility to expand your offerings, experiment with new ideas, and grow your business.
Are there tools to help recover abandoned bookings?
Yes! Tripcart has a built-in Abandoned Cart Recovery tool available on all plans.
Customers who abandon their booking are automatically sent a recovery email. At the same time, you (admin) will receive an email with their booking details, including their email address and phone number. You can use this to directly follow up with customers with unfinished bookings via phone and help recover the sale.
Industry research shows that such email notifications achieve recovery rates of between 10% and 15% of lost sales. That means, out of every 100 customers who abandon their bookings, you’re able to recover 10-15 of them.
Can I set different prices for peak season and off-season?
Absolutely! You can set seasonal prices for your tours based on seasonality and demand. Charge higher prices during peak seasons and offer lower rates during off-season periods.
This flexibility helps you grow revenue year-round while keeping tours appealing and competitive. All pricing updates happen automatically based on the rules you set. No manual changes needed each time the season changes.
Can I receive upfront payment for bookings made on my website?
Yes! You can receive upfront payment for your tours with Tripcart.
The Upfront Payments feature allows you to accept deposit payments from your customers before the tour starts. Customers don’t need to pay the full amount upfront, which makes it easier for them to book. This helps increase booking conversions. At the same time, collecting a deposit means you’re less likely to deal with no-shows.
Prefer not to receive payments in advance? You can create tours that require no upfront payments. Attract travelers with tours that they can book and pay for later.
Can I set up automated emails for my customers?
Absolutely! You can set up fully branded automated emails to be sent to customers. You can even add your header logo and custom footer text, and send emails through your own email.
You can also decide which emails go out automatically and when. You can personalize and set up emails like:
- Booking Confirmations
- Abandoned Cart Reminders
- Tour Reminders
- Review Requests
- Post-tour Follow-ups
- Payment Due Alerts
Every email can be customized to match your brand voice and style. This way, your communication stays consistent, professional, and on-brand.
What is the main difference between the Growth, Accelerate, and Scale plans?
Growth is perfect if you’re starting out as a solo tour entrepreneur or are running a small tour business. It includes all the essentials to get your business online, like a website builder, booking engine, and itinerary builder.
Accelerate is for you if you want to grow revenue faster and without much effort. It includes everything in Growth, as well as upsell features to increase your Average Order Value (AOV). These include accommodation upgrades, extra services, multiple packages, promo codes, upfront payments, etc.
Scale is built for established businesses with larger teams. You’ll get everything in Accelerate, along with the ability to remove Tripcart branding from your website footer.
How does the free trial work on Tripcart?
It’s simple. When you sign up, you get full access to Tripcart, free for 30 days. You can explore all the features, build your tour website, and see how it works for your business.
After the trial ends, you can choose a plan to keep your site live. No credit card is needed to start.
What happens to my content when the free trial expires?
When your 30-day free trial ends, you’ll get a reminder to choose a paid plan to keep your site live. But don’t worry, your content won’t be deleted. Everything you’ve built so far, including your tours, media, and settings, will remain safely stored.
However, your site will go into a paused state. This means you won’t be able to receive new bookings or make any edits until you upgrade to a paid plan.
Once you choose a plan, your site will be reactivated, and you can pick up right where you left off.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my subscription plan?
Absolutely! You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time based on your business needs.
If you upgrade, you only pay the extra amount for the days left in your current billing cycle. If you downgrade, the new, lower plan will take effect from your next billing cycle. There are no long-term contracts, so you can switch plans whenever your business needs change.
Will my content be lost if I downgrade?
No. Your content will stay the same even if you downgrade to a lower-tier subscription. All your tours, pages, media files, and customer data will remain safe and untouched.
However, any premium features from your previous plan (such as storage capacity, deposit payment, multi-package, accommodation upgrade, promo code, etc) will be locked until you upgrade again. You can re-enable them anytime by switching back to a higher plan.
What happens if I exceed the limits of my plan?
No worries! If you reach the limits of your current Tripcart plan, like media storage or user access, we’ll notify you right away. You won’t lose access to your site or features; nothing will suddenly stop working.
We’ll guide you through your upgrade options so you can choose a plan that better fits your growing business. Upgrading is quick and seamless, with no interruptions to your website or bookings.
Can I translate my website?
Yes. You can easily translate your website into your preferred language with built-in translations. This makes your site more familiar and welcoming to local travelers or users who are familiar with the selected language. The built-in translation is available on all plans and doesn’t require any coding or third-party tools.
Can I have my website in multiple languages?
Absolutely! With the Google Translate integration, you can make your website accessible in multiple languages. This allows travelers to view your site in their preferred language with just a click. It’s a simple way to reach international users without needing to create separate sites for each language.
